There has been numerous cross-continental transferts with Beauval in recent years, for a lot of species from the Duikers to the Meerkats.I'm glad when zoos are able to do cross-continental transfers like this to improve genetic diversity (such as Minnesota Zoo? importing jaguars from Belize)

I add that French Guiana belongs to French territory, so the transferts are probably easier, in the respect of general wildlife and health regulations. Many transfers of Jaguars, Anteaters... happened between mainland France and the French Caribbean zoos.
For red-faced spider monkeys in particular, France's overseas territories play an important role within the EEP, with three holders (French Guiana, Martinique and Guadeloupe) and several transfers and births in recent years.I'm glad when zoos are able to do cross-continental transfers like this to improve genetic diversity (such as Minnesota Zoo? importing jaguars from Belize)
I would like to add that these monkeys were all rescued by the Zoo de Guyane and were too imprinted to be released into the wild. None of these monkeys were born in captivity.6 Red-faced Spider Monkeys have been transferred from the Zoo de Guyane (French Guiana) to Beauval.
That's a new species for Beauval.
Consequently ASATO and his sons have been transferred on the "bachelor" island that has remainesd empty for a couple of months.
No it's just their communication agence that messed up and no one checked before posting the video I think. Constructions started in september or around that date so. Oh and at first they denied on their socials that it was a Quokka and said that it was a WombatI think the information went unnoticed, but under the post announcing Beauval Zoo’s new feature, the park states that the quokka were an editing mistake and not one of the species that will be present next year. I find that surprising from Beauval, but it makes me wonder: wasn’t this video perhaps made quickly to ‘drown the dolphin,’ so to speak?
As a subscriber to their YouTube channel, i noticed that they reposted their AI video "correcting" some things. The quokka is replaced by a wallaby and the grey horse is replaced by a pinto Shetland pony.No it's just their communication agence that messed up and no one checked before posting the video I think.
