Yesterday they announced that the "offer from Resilient Aquarium LLC, an affiliate of Terra, provided the highest and best offer" and would be the company behind the "renovation and modernization of the aquarium."

"Resilient Aquarium LLC" was just registered last month in Florida and Terra doesn't have any experience with aquariums as far as I can tell.

Yikes. Yeah, I'd say it would now be highly dependent on who they bring into this newly founded company to help them. That being said, an independent company's resources might be more able to peel off some exhibit design or husbandry folks from AZA facilities, so who knows.

Nearly a month after its 70th anniversary, Miami Seaquarium closed for the last time.
The site is expected to be restructured into a marina [place for pleasure-boat docking] alongside restaurants and a new aquarium; without mammals.

I think I was correct a while ago in saying that there will not be a Seaquarium in Miami come 2026....but I am surprised to see how long it managed to survive since I had that belief... I believe in 2024!

In any case... the Seaquarium is no more!

I’ve never heard of this group until now. Not to get too off topic but do you know anything about how the animals are kept when not on the road/at a fair and how they ended up with Patagonian sea lions??

I don't, they travel around, they actually had a long run show at ZooTampa of a few months in the 2010s sometime.

It mostly looks like the animals are probably under the steel canopy or in the couple of screened in pools visible.
