Does anybody know whats going on with Sibu? Has he died ive asked a few people but nobody seems to be really sure.

I don't mean this horribly but if Sibu has died it means less hassle for Chester in finding a partner and a another collection for him and her to go too. Plus it means other works can be done with him not at the Zoo.

that is what I said. Its a shame but possibly a blessing in disguise as he would be difficult to rehome yet again with his history.

Sorry getting forgetful in my young age!
Definitely as I would love phase two of RoRA to go ahead. :D

just because I said it, doesn't mean you can't too....;)

I can't see his death(if its true) would make any difference to ROTRA Stage 2 though. Is it still going to happen at present?

Phase two could not happen with him still at Chester because of space issues, but with him gone it could go ahead but its is on hold like most major developments otherthan Heart of Africa.

Someone will find out on Saturday.

I hope someone does, it all seems covered up. It was a Keeper who told me the old male (who I presume was Sibu) had died in his sleep after an operation as he returned from another zoo in poor health and hadn't been well for a few months with issues including abscesses in his mouth which lead to his operation of removing all his teeth. I never saw him other than on Zoo days when he returned from the other Zoo.

Sounds more and more like it was Sibu.

Yes phase two would of been identical to the three indoor enclosures, built where the old orangutan house is and with another outdoor enclosure.

that would be good, are the plans on hold now? also do you think the cheetah will be moved into heart of africa?

Last we heard from Zoogiraffe (i think) was that all major projects were on hold, apart from HoA which was annouced after.

The Cheatahs will not be moved into Heart of Africa as HoA is a rainforest biome enclosure.

It's unlikely that phase 2 of RoRA will begin soon, the babirusa and otter enclosure is under construction on part of the site.

As far as i know all major projects are still on hold all via HOA,but we should still see quite a few small projects like the Otter and Babirusa getting done.
