134 users on here, a record for the site for the most visitors on at one time at 19.19pm GMT, Monday 27th April.:)

So what was going on did zoogiraffe release the name of the mystery ungulate for Chester zoo?;)

Did snowleopard compliment a European zoo?;)

Did sun-wukong say something non controversial?;)

Did Marwell-dalek not mention Marwell in one of his posts?;)

Hope no one is offended, just a bit of fun:p

But it is good to see more and more visitors to this excellent site, and again well done sim.
 
I think that was the time I found an exhibit without any positive features ;)
 
Very funny Kiang, and no offense taken. I don't think that I mentioned anything about the Howletts gorilla cages on that day.:) What is interesting is that whenever I check to see who is online there are usually twice as many visitors as members. Loads of people either do not log in all the time, or there are many lurkers. Either way this site has grown in leaps and bounds over the past couple of years.

No i didn`t post the mystery ungulate at Chester but i do know which zoo is suppose to be getting the 2 surplus Black Wildebeest from Newquay when they come out of Quarantine all i`ll say its not rocket science to work out which collection it is.
Also if you want me to take a FENCE just tell me which 1 you want moving and i will see what i can do!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it may be Edinburgh as they have plenty of room on the African plains exhibit, or maybe thats just wishful thinking on my part
 
It's the fence part that threw me lol. I'm just thinking of every zoo in the UK.
 
Sorry to actually answer the question (boring I know) ... but the high user count was probably as a result of web crawlers / spiders (computer generated, not invertebrates!) indexing the website for the search engines.

That "most users" count just tracks unique sessions, and includes all bots, guests and members ... so it not terribly accurate for tracking real people.

We do seem to be getting a lot of lurkers these days - most of the 50 or so guests on at the moment are real people, not bots ... which I find quite surprising. Either way, traffic is up significantly in the past couple of months - although I guess fixing the photo uploading problems and some of the performance problems has helped there somewhat.

This seems obvious to me but the fence part is a joke.

And am certain someone mentioned which other zoo was getting the additional pair in the thread itself.
