That may well be, but this forum's character is reliability and knowledge-ability. The last thing we require on this forum is the self-indulgent asbestos frescos (:rolleyes:) we get sometimes on this forum.

Speaking of zoo directors, ... quite of few zoo staff around us read up on the site. By and large they enjoy it, sometimes so .. that they explode into unstoppable laughter over something preposterous being announced or written up. :D
 
Over the weekend i have decided that i am going to stop posting on here,but will become someone who just watches and doesn`t comment on threads for the time been,while i`m just watching i will still reply to pm`s sent to me from people that i have not blocked!
 
Why would you do that? You know loads lol. I can't really comment on sooty Mangabey as I didn't know him, but why would you want to go? False info is bound to get posted, but I just ignore it and correct it if I can, maybe you could do the same?
 
And you're probably the only other one who isn't anti circus, I need you to defend with me lol.

Now that is a shame, as we have discussed. Your posts are always enjoyable reading.
 
I agree here, but then again, I predict gradually everyone will grow away from zoochat whether it be 20 years I don't know. But new people will always replenish the population, ( not to be offensive in anyway)
 
It looks like a shame this Sooty will be leaving, he looks like one of my favourite posters, someone who can spell and has better grammar then me..!

@ jwer I remember when Patrick left, he really was the giant of this site in my early days here, he left because he was very vocal about a new member who worked at Taronga and Patrick thought he didn't, my how this site has grown since then...

Other incidents I remember:

- That nutter from Dubbo who impersonated a keeper at Western Plains and got into trouble with the cops, what was his name again..?

- For those of you who don't think the rules are enforced I have seen comments deleted by the mods and the almighty Sim has even deleted (I think) a whole thread before (it was to do with the whole Patrick leaving thing), I definitely have seen a lot of threads closed...

- I remember that guy who took great delight in fooling many members into thinking he ran a zoo in Burma or somewhere and we found incidences of him giving advice on Avian fan sites..

So many scandals..!

If anything the quality of posters given the growth of the site is remarkable (or maybe I just don't read as many threads anymore) and if we have an open mind we learn as we go along... Except for Sun, you cannot learn when you already possess all knowledge ;)
 
Oh dear... the reactions to my post are actually why people leave because people don't take the time to actually read what others say...

I never said when Patrick left, i said when someone else left Patrick told him "what's the use of a thread like this? and i agreed.

When did I say you said "when Patrick left"..? You mentioned patrick and then I reminisced about him, his leaving and other incidents that tickled me...

How dare someone refer to past incidents, I am single handedly destoying the site and causing people to leave..!

I am sure from reading NZJ previous posts. He is not being serious. Just sarcastic, something that does not always come across easily in a post.
