Naturzoo Rheine Batu

Hi,

Does anyone know how Batu the male Sumatran Tiger from Chessington Zoo in the UK is doing?
He moved to Rheine last august, and im hopefully coming over to visit him soon.
Any news on how he has been getting on would be great

I'd say pretty good, he has mated with the female Sali and she gave birth to two cubs last februari

Thats good news! Do you know the sex of the cubs, and whether the whole family are sharing an enclosure together...he was an excellent dad to both litters he had with Ratna at Chessington!

The Cubs are two boys. Tebo and Tengah.

Batu now has had 7 cubs. 5 with Ratna 1:4 and 2:0 with Sali. A well represented tiger in Europe. Does anyone know where his last two cubs with Ratna are moving to?

Kabus & Kelabu havnt yet had been assigned anywhere....Chessington are still waiting on news from the stud book keeper

Kabus has been assigned somewhere so things are just being finalised before its 100%...Kelabu is staying with Ratna for the time being i believe
