Visiting the zoo tomorow, anything anybody would like me to try and find out, take a pic off etc?
 
LeeMac13, if you could find out how the Okapi introductions are going on?

Please could you ask where the giraffes Molly and Margret are moving too and where the pure females are being sourced from.

Also have they heard anymore from the EEP about another female bear.

Oh my gosh hope the vacancy does come up though i expect it extremly difficult to get into chester zoo and sooo many people apply for zoo jobs but hey worth a try :)
 
Hi everyone, visited the zoo today and as many of you will know it poured with rain on and off for the majority of the day. Because of this we didnt manage to see any of the keepers to answer any of your question. sorry :(

A few notes from todays visit, there was a rhino in the enclosure opposite the Tsavo avaries today not quite sure which one it was I think it may be Margardi thought im not sure. No sign of Ema or Bashira today. Malindi was inside Tsavo but on the right hand side usually occupied by Kitani, everytime we have been Malindi is always laying down is that the case for other people? Kitani and Asani were outdoors today in the paddock behind the Tsavo house. Finally managed to get a glimpse of one of the tigers inside the house today have taken a picture (not the best of quality). The Orangs and Chimps were inside for the majority of the day as were most of the animals. Miniture monkeys was open but no sign of any of them indoors or outside. Conservation golf was also open but throughout the day saw nobody playing it. The female cheetah was out in the main enclosure today in the section furthest away from the camels whilst the males were in the section closest to the viewing window. She is a lot smaller an slimmer compared to the males will hopefully upload some pictures in the next few hours.
 
Every time I go into Tsavo (apart from first thing) the rhinos (both adults) are lying down, so I don't think Malindi lying on the floor should be of concern

You should be correct there unless they have moved him recently, do you have any photo's of him as then I would be able to confirm if it is him?

Yeah i uploaded some pics from yesterday into the gallery, i also took some pictures of the rhino in the offshow enclosure as u could see them from Tsavo. Not sure if you are able to identify them.

I'll take a look later. Was the two Okapi's in seperate enclosures?
