Going to Chester tomorrow for the first time since early March. If you want me to find out anything please post it here.

Is the female Rhinoceros Hornbill is still housed in teh avairy next to the Snowy Owls?
Also are the Red & Yellow Barbets on-show anywhere?

So she was obviously hidden from sight when I looked.

ZooMania no sign of the barbets on Friday.

Thanks guys. Pleased at least 1 of the Rhino Hornbills is on-show. Hopefully the Babrets will turn up somewhere eventually.

When i vistied last, which wasn't that long ago, the barbets were in an enclosure on the top of the tropical realm where the timor zebra finches used to be in the corner, are they not there now?

The Timor Zebra finches are now in Realm of the Red Ape in the old tree shrew aviary.

The Zulus are on tomorrow if you're interested....I would also make sure you see the gardens outside the fountain shop, as they are due to become just shrubs and not bedding anymore.

What? Those gardens are beautiful with all the bedding plants, I guess it takes to much time and costs to do.

Before I go does anyone know about this female bear that's supposedly arriving in the next few weeks?

The gardens in the centre of the zoo are very popular, this seems to be another mistake by Chester.

The female bear will arrive when the studbook keeper allocates her.

I'll be very disappointed if the central garden's flower beds are replaced, they looked amazing when I visited yesterday.

Tempest the decision has been made. Please add me to your list of disappointed visitors.
