As all British football (soccer) fans will know, the transfer deadline for the football league is on Tuesday, 1st September 2009, at 5:00pm.

I'll be updating you on all the news when it happens.

Confirmation in the last few seconds that Pascal Chimbonda has joined Blackburn Rovers for a fee in the region of £2million pounds.

Tommy Smith and Arura Dindane will join Portsmouth later today, it is understood.

Leaving Portsmouth is Sylvain Distin, Portsmouth have agreed a fee with Everton.

hmm. Stephen Warnock is on his way to Aston Villa, while Al Fahim has completed his takeover of Portsmouth. None of that really bothers me, I just want the Newcastle takeover to be done!

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Warnock, the Chimbonda to blackburn isn't done quite yet. Robert Huth has joined stoke.

You don't want to lose him or Faye.

Aston Villa, who were knocked out of Europe last night (GET IN THERE!), look likely to sign Richard Dunne.

Sylvain Distin has completed his move to Everton, Michael Brown has joined Portsmouth.
Stoke are close to signing Danny Collins from those dirty mackems.

Why would they want Collins he's not particularly good and they have several better defenders already. Kevin Prince Boateng has joined Portsmouth which means they are now definitely going down.
