Okay, I weakened and bought a copy of PhotoPost to use as a photo gallery.

There is a "Photo Gallery" link under the General category on the forum main page (it looks like another forum, but will take you to the gallery instead).

I haven't done the full integration yet, so it will be a little rough for a while, but anyone who is registered on the forum should be able to upload photos to the gallery.

Let me know if you have any problems.
