Hey everyone.

Very sorry if this has been done before, but either way people's views could of changed and we have gained new members.

What is zoochat's favourite animal?? I thought we should discuss some nominations before a poll was made.

My personal favourites, elephants ( both), rhinos ( all five) and the tigers.

I'm sure everyone here has a real love of one species, so please go nuts on suggestions. :)

Giant pandas
Indian rhinos
Red pandas
Tigers

That might be because there is only a hype on giant pandas in countries and cities where giant pandas can be seen live in your local zoo, especially if there is a giant panda cub too. :D
 
Leopards, especially the Javan leopard, and generally all big cats..
 
My top 5:

1. Elephant
2. Gorilla
3. Red Fox
4. Clouded Leopard
5. Giant Anteater
 
Hmmm tough one. I like clouded leopards very muchly, I think reticulated pythons are awesome not only because of their size but their colourings too. There's not many animals I don't like :D
 
Bears (particulalry American Black Bears), Cheetahs, Okapis, Leopards and Tigers(particularly Siberian).

Also does anyone have any animals that they dislike (other than obvious ones such as white tigers.) I do not particularly like Camels, Rhea or Mara, but for no good reason.
 
1. Orangutans

(I know you mean species but if I had to name a single animal, as the thread title literally suggests, it'd be Rajang at Colchester !! I know I'm not the only who'd say that.)

2. Chimps

4. Geladas
5. Tigers
 
There isn't really any animals I don't like other than the ones that prove a nuisance in everyday life: Rats, Pigeons, Wasps and Mosquitoes.
 
My top 10 in no particular order:

snow leopard, giant anteater, okapi, polar bear, Indian rhino, Malayan tapir, giraffe, moose, gorilla, golden snub-nosed monkey...

manatee, douc langur and bharal close behind...

Don't like:

chimpanzees, many kinds of macaque (almost all except lion-tailed and sulawesi), hamadryas baboon, rats and mice...
 
Not sure about favourite animal (possibly Grevys Zebra, possibly giraffe, possibly a mix of the two - okapi) but my fave birds are definitley Turacos. Did you know Turacos are the only birds to produce a green pigment? Other green birds rely on blue and yellow pigments mixing or light reflecting off grooves in their feathers.
