Nature's effects on animals.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to start this thread, after when I came back from the zoo the other day and the animals were acting different from usual ( well from my observations) I also noticed on the Lions and Binjai's ( female tiger) eyes were somewhat of a manic look.
My mum saying in chinese tradition being that last night was a full moon put the animals in a trance.
Does anyone else agree that the moon can change the animal's habits. I mean I know it does have gravitational properties...............

It's possible, there are many legends stemming from this sort of thing (werewolves, for example) and, statistically, murder rates are far higher on nights with a full moon. Can't remember if there was a reason though.

Supposedly the nestual cycle (within humans) is based on the moon, could the same be said for animals? if so could this be the cause for the difference in behaviour, also could it be the animals are sensing disastor? I know that in china whole cities are evacuated on the basis of strange animal behaviour , from fear of geographical disastors.

very interesting, perhaps with the lions they were edging out against each others because there were no females around.
