Brazilian Tapirs

Hi there,

Does anybody know of anywhere in the UK where Brazilian Tapir are kept in an exhibit with any of the small Brazilian monkey species e.g the Yellow Breasted Capuchin.

I think it would make a stunning exhibit, with the tapirs dwelling on the ground whith monkeys swining from trees above them.

If there is nothing like this about in the U.K is there anywhere else in Europe that has anything similar?

Also does anybody know which other species of animal can be kept in an exhibit with Brazilian Tapir other than the obvious Capybara.

South Lakes keep them with capybara, capuchins (not sure of ssp), possibly squirrel monkeys, Asian short clawed otters and Spectacled bears of all things. They seem fine with the monkeys and other species. The bears however... hmm
Also, I think Bristol had free ranging tamarins or marmosets in their "Zona Brazil" exhibit, but that doesn't happen anymore.
 
Marwell did, possibly still do, keep a couple of Capybara with theirs. I've not seen them sharing with anything other than that.
 
Newquay zoo has brazilian tapirs with capybaras and in the middle of the pool is an island for a family of pied tamarins. Until the recently african savannha exhibit black crowned cranes also shared this exhibit (and a hawaiian goose).
 
The tapirs at Dartmoor, don't they share their paddock with reindeer sometimes?
 
When he was in the large paddock, he shared it with rhia, llama and a grey seal! She lived in the pond.

Chester Zoo`s Vicuna have moved and now share a paddock with Common Rhea,while Blackpool`s Vicuna have also moved and now share with the Markhor.
