Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve north queensland tiger cub

After she has lived with a number of different males in her time it's lucky she had the one cub at 14 years, the cubs doing well at this stage. I guess the male at the CWSR must be doing something right, LOL

Hari diesn't seem to have much trouble, having sired three cubs at Perth.

The cub from the first mating is "Sali" which was mis-mothered and went to Dreamworld. I am pretty sure the second litter is still at Perth

Thank you Bigcat, We did see the cub from the first litter at Dreamworld, I was not sure about the second litter, Was the female from Perth transfered to the CWSR for the second breeding and returned after or did the male just stay at Perth since the last breeding took place?

Male stayed at Perth for second breeding only returned to CWSR after she had given birth to 3 cubs

yeah. considering all the factors i didn't have high hopes for this cubs survival when i first read of its birth.

obviously CWSR were very excited and launched a naming competition a far too early.

even more oddly they bestowed the tiger with the same name as another already in the region.

but anyway. it may very well have been an anomaly, but hopefully this birth might help to kick start her reproductive system somewhat and she might have a litter. am i right in that she represents an unrepresented lineage?

Her lineage isn't represented in the region. Don't know about other continents. Would she be getting too old to breed again now?

She would be very close to being past breeding. Quite alot going on with Sumatrans in the region at the moment with one female moved within Australia and the two coming from New Zealand.

haha, i thought that she was hybrid but did not say anything as people are so quick to shoot youm down on this site. thanks steve and whynot for confirming my suspicions.
