The penguins currently at Edinburgh are Kings, Gentoos and Rockhopppers. I think their take on Emperor's is that anywhere in the UK, even in this weather, is just way to warm for them. Probably the basis on Edinburgh and HWP's collection in general!
So which hardcore zoo goer has seen all of the species in the UK?
I didn`t know you had got over to Belfast as there Rockhoppers are a different species to all the rest in the U.K.I have, it's not that difficult. I'm sure quite a few people on here have.
I wouldn't say I was that "hardcore" though, I know a few "harder" or "corer" than me.

Put it this way they looked like any other Rockhopper to me but then I keep walking past Oriental Storks without noticing any difference to a White Stork,so what do I know about telling the difference between bird species, simple answer when it comes to birds I`m crap.Good spot, I retract my statement.
****** splitters!![]()
I didn't realise Rockhopper's had been split into separate species rather than sub-species, Doh!
So, do the ones at Belfast look any different?
