The lesser flamingo group was transferred to Zoo Leipzig, there is more space available for the flamingos.

It´s a good news that those birds joined the large group in Leipzig, where they will have a chance to breed. The Schönbrunn´s group was very valuable because it contained at least 8 females. Females are quite rare in the european population - there are ca 3 males for each female. Thank you for that info.
