Starting a Travelling Zoo

I'm planing to start a traveling zoo/wildlife education program.
Has anyone got any good advice to start me off?
Cheers,

Thanks steve,
I know about the NSW Exhibited Animals Protection Act rather intimately!
I think I'm going head into the other 99 percent. Ie: Inverts.
Has anyone out there had experience with easy ways to cart 25-50 litres (5-10 Gallons) of water.
Cheers,
bushranger

There is a huge variety in the amount of inverts you can take with you. I use four types of stick insect, pillbugs, katydids, mantids, 4 different types of cockroaches and spiders scorpions and water scorpions in my talks. Water scorpions are easy to transport as you can transport them in a normal insects tank with a bit of water. As for how to transport water I'm not too sure. There is a guy that travels with a semi full of water to do live fishing demos but that's a bit bigger than you need.

There are two of these units on the road and they don't travel with the water in them.

The fish are caught up and travel in small containers, the trailer is then drained and travels to the next location where it is refilled.

Ah. Fair enough. This does not surprise me. Transporting water in a tank like that would be difficult. Do you know if they transport their own water. One of them exhibited with us last year at ANFD. Can't remember if we filled it. Thats why I figured rhey must transport it. But then again very busy at that time of year. :)

They refill locally. They like to fill at least 24 hours in advance to give the water time to settle. At some stands where this is not possible the water is so dirty that you can hardly see the fish!

It's a very interesting display and attracted thousands of people to the exhibitors site. Which happened to be a tank company. Just talking to my old man - We did fill it up, three loads of our fire truck. That's alot of water.
