Unfortunately the video isn't playing at the moment, and there is no information on the Howletts website yet.
I guess this is a first UK breeding.

The video played okay for me.

They say the baby will soon be reintroduced to his mother, and then also his father. Also they intend to import a female for him, to give them two pairs. ( I would have hoped for a few more but perhaps they are very difficult to obtain.)

Howletts have also managed to source a 2nd female Gelada, from Colchester.

It would be nice to have a second Sulawesi macaque ESB/EEP in Europe. Long overdue for these evolutionary important macaque family.
