2 rhinos were rutting each other today and causing each others face to bleed.is this the start of mateing or a males fighting.i couldnt see the sex of the rhinos in question,which might of answered it! thanks
 
If you can tell us where this was (Cotswold Wildlife Park or Whipsnade perhaps?) it might help with an answer. But it was most likely courtship fighting between a male and female where the rhinos get cuts and grazes from pushing with their horns. Not too serious.
 
i saw this last week between the rhinos at everyones Favourite zoo, Noha's Ark Zoo Farm. They don't usually breed when kept in pairs do they?
 
No idea actually but they do have a prayer asking god to bless them with young (not an actual quote) so I just assumed they had a pair.
 
I would surely like to see how they would educate visitors that it is completely normal to have a child for papa and papa or mama and mama and that is how typical rhino family should look like, lol:)
