What does your user-name mean?

I'm not sure if this has been done before, but I thought it would be interesting given that there are loads of interesting user-names on the forum.

I was actually inspired to do it by CGSwan's user-name because every time I see it I immediately think "Computer Generated swans"....

As for my own, Chlidonias is a genus of terns, and the day before I joined up I'd just seen a whiskered tern (Chlidonias hybrida) at a wetland area near my house, a species that isn't normally found in NZ, so the name was still running around in my head. None of the people at work can pronounce it so they tend to refer to it as "chinchilla doughnut" :D

:o Just my initials and footy team. Nothing inspiring in it, I'm afraid.

Well, I chose "Kudu" because they are my favorite animals and I chose "21" because that is my birth date.

I also go by "Tandala Mkubwa", which I think looks a whole lot better and is more professional sounding, but at the time I joined I hadn't thought of it. Anyways, "Tandala Mkubwa" means Greater Kudu in Swahili.

Bele = Pine marten in the Welsh language , my home country . Martens might well be present over quite large forested areas of Wales but are extremely elusive . Recent DNA analysis have proved that they do exhist here .

My 1st name and the initial of my surname - very simple.

Goodness knows what I'd have ended up with if I'd tried to reflect my 2 great passions in a name ..... being orangs and Doctor Who !

My name means "wheat grain" in Danish. It hasn't got any special meaning - once, I just needed to find a strange name for my first Hotmail account (almost all names are taken as you should know), and then the account name has been with me ever since, used on forums and such.

Mr Saxon.....inspired by the Master's name when disguised at the Prime Minister of Great Britain.
:D
It's my most common name across the interwebz but varations have occured and sometimes different names altogether like "The Doctor", "Killed by a Zebra" and "Kenny Saxon"

Sealife being my favorite group of animal, mainly mammals but others too.
357 a diaganal from bottom right to top left, quick, simple and easy to remember.
It also my username for almost everything else.

Should I even mention mine?

Mine was simply created because I was being a smart-bum and wanted something mildly offensive so I came up with UrMumzAGoat :)

Mine's prey boring too, with Desertrhino referring to the desert-adapted black rhinos of the Skeleton Coast, and 150 being how many there are remaining in that region.

Was that on the "learn a new word every day" toiletpaper you're using? I thought my english was OK, and i can guess what it means but according to online dictionary's it doesn't exist?

Is it two words mixed together?

haha, that's cool because if you google it, you get tons of hits...

But if you try a dictionary, you'll get none. I thought it was a sort of slang, but apparantly more english (speaking) people make typo's

Nah, I like his username. :p

Since it's been changed since the last time I posted here, mine's the name of a tiger (my avatar) who was one of my favourite animals at my local zoo, Marwell. He now lives at Blackpool Zoo.

I will, only if I hear of any other complaints regarding my user-name. Is this fair?

If I may put my two cents in: you should consider how you intend to use Zoochat in the future.

If you only plan to fool around here for years to come, by all means keep this ridiculous username. But if you have any desire to be taken seriously around here, I suggest you let Ben change your username for you.

I for one cannot take you seriously while you use this absurd nickname, no matter how common sense your posts may be. I know you are young and will mature as a person and zoo enthusiast as time passes (I did and heck I'm still maturing and learning) but there are users here your age or even younger whose maturity and way of thinking really amazes me.
