In Spain Terra Natura Benidorm has 1.1 and Zoo Botánico de Jerez 1.1 too
 
ISIS is usually not completely up to date. If you look on flickr and search for lions there, there are pictures of 1:2 in seperate enclosures. The male is somewhat aggressive to the females.
 
The old male asiatic lion, "Chambal", died in July last year....

There are 2 females from Nuremberg at TP Berlin, they arrived together with their parents in 2007, their parents went back to Nuremberg last year...
 
Would you by any chance know the names of the Asiatic Lions at Berlin Tierpark?

Plus does anyone have any info on the past of Shiva and Lady? Perhaps born Besancon 2005 along with Radja?

Plus does anyone know about the litter of 3 females born at Chester in 1994?
 
Cubs born at Chester where 3 males, Chandra (Cotswolds), Sabu (Cotswolds, died 2007) and another which unable to find name or info on.

Can the EEP get any spare Lions from any Indian zoos and add some new bloodlines for the European breeding program?

Where and when was Koyla (Planckendael) born, and who were her parents?

Just discovered that Planckendael's male is named Chandra (so my database now shows Cotswold's Chandra as Rajah to avoid confusion with births etc.)
 
The male in Planckendael in Chandra, he was born in May 1996 together with his brother Ashok in Chester. Their parents are Jake and Chandani. A couple years later they moved to planckendael.
In 2006 a female , named Kolya came from Benidorm to planckendael, her sister stayed in Benidorm and should have getten company from Ashok, but Ashok died during the transfer.

And what Rotterdam concerns.
The male Kuma was born on the 21st april 2006 in Edinburgh. Shantee was born in 1998 in Paignton, father:Midas mother:Jamna
Bente was born the first of september 2006 in Rotterdam
father: Vanaraj (also the grandfather of Shantee), mother:Shantee

This cannot be correct as Ashok currently resides at Chessington World of Adventures in the UK. Plus there was a Chandra or Rajah born at Chester in 1996.
 
The male in Planckendael is indeed Chandra and he was born in 1996 in Chester. And the female is indeed Kolya.
 
I don't know wich Ashok is currently at Chessington but it cannot be the brother of Chandra, born in Chester in 1996.
Ashok died during the transfer to Benidorm, due to an infection I believe.
 
The Ashok at Chessington was born at Chester. However, the Ashok in my database was born 1997. I also recall hearing the name Assok before - could this be the individual at Chessington/ex Planckendael?
