Chester Zoo Concerned about the Elephants

We went to Chester Zoo a couple of days ago , and were concerned to see that Thi and Sheba were spending long periods standing still swaying. I assume this may be something that's a result of their long periods stuck inside while the outside paddock was redeveloped, as I know that it can be a sign of boredom.

We've seen Thi swaying before, but never Sheba. Does anyone know if this is a habit that can be broken, or know anything more about it please?

I saw Sheba swaying a few days back too, yet I did not think this was unusual seeing her age etc.
