just looked at the website and it reminded me a lot of alma park zoo's website. I thought that the logo looked good but like many of us thought the the name was a bit of a flop. something I would like to see is a species wish list. I can only just gague what they want by looking at some of the photos. other than that I thought that the website was good but not flawless.
as for how they will go I don't know. time will tell.

Just for the record, I am certainly not a purist; nor am I anti-white tigers (or lions, for that matter). If I was that would make me a hypocrite, because I have bred plenty of mutation parrots over the years.
Also, in the company of my grandsons, I greatly enjoyed Dreamworld's tiger display earlier this year. As for Dreamworld's financial contribution to tiger conservation, that's great. But it's still an amusement park with tigers - not a zoo. South-east Queensland lacks a large, scientifically based mainstream zoo.

We are unsure of what Dreamworld's plans are regarding it's animal collection and I'm sure the manager of the collection is just as dedicated to his job as any other zoo boss or life sciences manager in the country.

And what is there to be "unsure" about Dreamworld's collection plans? They seem to be pretty clearly defined in the 2010 ASMP Census and Plan. Do you know something that the rest of us don't?????
We as in the forum in general. Dreamworld makes very valuable contributions o the industry here. They are involved in the Tasmanian devil program and make other significant contributions to wildlife education and conservation. Including wildlife outreach programs.

I too, like many others, am curious about the experience base regarding this venture.I have always found those that have to blow trumpet usually are not that clever and after seeing first hand the state of some sanctuaries in the the US,I would hate to see QLD follow that example.We will all have to wait with baited breath.
