Am going on Wednesday so will be on a mission to photograph at least 1 of each of the species of primate while I'm there :)

Twycross no longer have Black-eared Marmosets, and very sadly no longer have the Phayres Languar as she passed away early this year .In fact both of the species have been gone for over 6 months from Twycross,so by Twycross standards that list is very upto date for them.

Does anyone know where 1.1 of the 2.2 Twycross Roloway monkeys went? ISIS now just list one pair.

I wonder why they are sending the red-tailed guenon to monkey haven and not to a european collection with females. Is it a very old animal/badly socialised animal?

I think the Roloways were pretty old so maybe death is more likely than a transfer?

The red-tailed Guenon has been alone at Twycross a long time so I imagine he might have social problems by now, even if he didn't before (!) However I would think no other European zoo wanted him as Twycross did send another pair of their rarer Guenons(Whiteside's) a couple of years ago to Europe(France) to join a breeding programme, so it wouldn't be refusal to make him available on their part.
