White-cheeked gibbon born at Adelaide Zoo - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

A white-cheeked gibbon has been born at Adelaide Zoo for the first time in its 127-year history.

Gibbons are a critically endangered species with numbers in the wild declining by 80 per cent in the last 45 years.

The baby gibbon is yet to be named.
