Spotted on Monday. Can anyone ID these two?

Sammy Or Magadi The Male I Think May Have To Check Unsure Of The Female

I can't recognise the individual rhinos, but will try and narrow it down. This looks like one of the off-show paddocks (well, supposed to be off-show but can be seen from the carpark and behind the meerkat statue). If nothing has changed, that rules out Sammy whom is with Kitani in the paddock for the on-show Tsavo building. I think it is Emma and Bashira in the old on-show (now off-show) rhino house, so that rules them two out. Asani is in the other off-show rhino house, but I'm not sure who with.

The only one I know from them paddocks is Rosie, but she is very skittish and doesn't like male rhinos (as could be seen on ZooDays). (I also think Mugadi's horn bends further backwards, so I don't think it's him, but not sure).

The two I've missed are Malindi and Manyara, since I don't know their paddocks.

Edit: In saying that, is Malindi male or female, I don't know.

Sorry, my comp is going crazy and it decided to post a new reply rather than edit the old one .

Doing some looking into it, I've noticed Malindi's gender, thanks for putting a paddock to the name :).

So, that leaves Manyara, Rosie and Mugadi. I'm going to say Mugadi x Manyara, simply because Rosie doesn't get on with males (and she was alone in her paddock on Saturday). Noting that, Mugadi and Manyara were mating on Saturday aswell. Lets hope we get something anyway, no matter who it is from :D

The photo was taken from the path that leads beyond the rhino house alongside the crane/waterfowl aviaries if that helps!

As in the one that has the on-show Tsavo house as the indoor area? If so, that is Sammy and Kitani :).

This is Sammy and Kitani.

Not sure why you are trying to work it out by who you think is usually in each paddock JR, they are quite often moved around as has been mentioned a number of times before.

In fairness to JR - we know exactly who was where on Saturday as Tim talked us through it at the meet-up. ;)

Though there's nothing to say they couldn't have moved before Monday, of course. :D

Hehe, I know they are moved around often, but as has been stated that's providing nothing has changed. From the way it sounded, it seems like they'll be together so long as they are working as a pair (which, aparantly they are :p)

Also those of us close enough to Mugadi and Manyara know that at no point on Saturday did he get it into the correct place!!

Ahh, I was at the back near Rosie, so didn't fully see what happened other than he mounted her. Thanks for clearing that up :)

Those gals must be strong, his feet hardly touch the floor, although apparently Magadi's in A1 condition, ie sleek, but still pretty heavy!

Sometimes I see these names getting increasingly misspelt (like Chinese whispers) and just try to get them back on track.

I'm glad I was there or I'd be seriously concerned about what zg was clearing up, and whether he'd been provided with rubber gloves...

Hehe, good point (I knew it would come out wrong somewhere :p)

Also, @Pertinax: No worries. I'd rather somebody pointed it out than I keep using the wrong spelling :)
