Does anyone remember the name of that casino in teh Gold Coast with tigers (i believe they have a white one aswell)

Anyone know anything about this place?

Edit i found the name Conrad Jupiters

i wonder if they are they still there?

I hope not, we might need a big cat sanctuary (!) :P

yeah 3 cubs were born and they died (dunno if all did)

I think you are right Ben, I heard they had died, the Tigers were for a stage show and were NOT to be bred, the press had said the guy was in hot water for what happened but never heard any more reports about it

Google it, a million pages come up - 2 tigers imported, 3 cubs born, all died, and a lion was at casino as well. Where are the 3 adult cats now?

The persons name is Enrique. He was from Spain and lost his contract for another show at the casino as a result of the issue caused by his breeding of cats, inbreeding (mother and son), and ultimate death of all cubs.

Ya gotta love big cats in casinos. I visited Las Vegas a few years back and saw lions at the Mirage Hotel in a small, mockrock exhibit that was brutally fake.

It was Conrad Jupiters, he had also put in a permit to import white lions )for his new contract) but this was axed. I believe in Spain it is very easy to get hold of and keep exotic animals like that. a few years ago ringling brothers lion trainer was an Australian Man, living in Spain (while not travelling the states with twelve lions) he retired all of his lions to his property in Spain. apparently had alot of big cats.

Wrong .........!

ah okay. . . I have a newspaper article that said this was the case, it was a feature in one of the sunday telegraphs magazines, will post it when I get back home. But would love some more info if available.

Sorry for the abrupt retort Jarkari. I was just passing through the other day and haven't had a chance to elaborate until now.

The gentleman you are referring to is Marcel Peters. He is an Englishman who trained two lion acts in Australia over 20 years ago. One was a very large act for Ashton's Circus and the other consisted of seven cats for Kryal Castle at Ballarat.

His son is also a very accomplished trainer who has worked for Ringlings and is currently in Europe.

Marcel Peters does now live in Spain and consults widely throughout Europe.

PS: Be very wary of what you learn from the media - and almost totally distrustfull of what you see posted on some internet sites!!!!!!!!
