The latest edition of Z (members and adopters magazine) is now out and confirms Chester's plans for 2011...

The biggest project will obviously be the African Wild Dog enclosure under construction on the site of the old horse paddock. The opening is now down for 6th April and the dogs will be 0:0:8 from Sweden.

The Giant Anteater house is now on hold until 2012. The Anteater's will stay where they are (behind the Giraffe house) until then. The "new" female is called Bliss.

The Giant Otters will be getting an underwater winter viewing area. During the winter this will house a heated pool and in the summer it will be drained to create a dried river bed

Any reason why foreign adopters/members would not get the Z magazine. Till date I have not seen it ....

Don't think there's any reason why you shouldn't get it? It might just take slightly longer than going from the UK though. Mine only turned up on Friday

Mine hasn't arrived yet either and I'm in adjoining county! There's been some really bad snow which has been hampering post movements - I haven't had any deliveries at all in nearly a week and I'm in a town centre - so it's probably juts a little held up.

Thanks for the update Nisha is the Female Giant Anteater more lively than Pedro the male? shall be visiting in the Summer:)
Regards Jordan.

Yes, she is, as confirmed by at least one member of zoo staff. That's why it suddenly got much easier to see an anteater part way throught the year!

From "totally impossible" to "almost impossible". ;)

I was very careful to stick to comparative ease, not absolute ease. :D
