Blair Drummond have just confirmed via Facebook that they are expecting to recieve Kelly and her calf Bella, the last hybrids from Chester sometime during this month. Hopefully this means that another female Rothschild will arrive at Chester sometime before the end of 2010. :)

So does this mean that Chester will have a pure Rothschild herd when they send their hybrids to Blair Drummond? What will be the situation when this happens (ISIS numbers etc.)

If this new female has arrived, is she in quarentine (where would Chester quarentine large mammals (rhinos, eles, giraffes?)

There is room in the many Rhino houses to quarantine an animal. Same applies to eles, don't know where they'd quarantine a giraffe.

Ahhh, that's a point :). I keep forgetting that most times the animals are quarentined where they will be housed anyway.
 
I've done a bit of research on Faida

She was born to 24-year old 'Luna' on the 3rd of August 2008 at Hannover Zoo.
Her father, 'Schorse' or 'George' was 21 when Faida was born.
When Faida was four months old, Luna died.
She is notable for being Schorse and Luna's twelth and final calf, along with being the 40th born at Hannover.
