Knowsley Safari Park Another rhino for Knowsley!

The second White Rhino calf in a matter of weeks has been born at Knowsley! Winnie gave birth to her healthy female calf on the 30th December. Mother and baby are both doing well. The male calf born in November has been named Troy and a third calf is due in early 2011.

Incidentally, what is to happen to the calves of the last crop of births?

They got it wrong, a rhino's pregnancy lasts 16 months. When was it announced opn daybreak? i think i watched it.
Troy is so cuteand born in time to see the new year in aswell. i hope to hear about more pregnancys and births in 2011. are any expected?

They can be overdue you know! And co-incidentally the pregnancy was over 16 months. Yes another is expected.
