I've been looking on Knowsley's FB page and theres some pictures a new zebra which has arrived. Can anyone confirm that it is indeed a recent arrival ?

EDIT: He is called Flynn. One of Longleats?

EDIT AGIAN: Think he came form Lympne. He was born at Longleat.

He is a new arrival and the park plan on letting him settle in before getting another Zebra. I think they want a female to accompany him.

History of Flynn

2005: Born at Longleat to Jinga and Spot (Spot is now deceased)
2007: Moved to Port Lymphe
August 2010: Transfered to the "Zebra Lady"s private collection near Bristol
2011: Now at Knowsley

Busy life thus far!

I saw his legs yesterday!

He (thanks for the info on gender and name) is in a newly errected enclosure and on a sandy surface. talking to a keeper a couple of years back and he was telling me that Zebra's and the grass at Knowlsey do not go well together. Previous Zebra have been ill or had to be kept away from it as it makes them ill. Hopefully now a remedy may have been found to treat this, or they will keep him off the grass and feed him hay and other foods. No idea if he is there on his own or there are long term plans to bring a few others to join him. If you hear let me know.

cheers,
P
