I have P.M. two moderator both about different things. Does anyone know when the last Monitor was on or if they have stopped doing monitors or if they quite zoo chat.

I will assume that you mean 'moderator', not 'monitor'? :D

Far back as I remember, they have always responded to my messages, maybe not the same day (we all have our lives outside of Zoochat, or so I dearly hope) but usually very soon.
 
Same with me. You may need to give it a week or more, as they could be busy with their regular jobs or on vacation (on holiday as you say in the UK), etc. If it has been more than two weeks, I would send another message, but if it is less than that I would say wait. Make sure you send it to one of the four moderators currently listed on the site.
 
Iv'e had the same problem. I have PMd all four monitors about photo deletion, and only one has replied, but with little sucess. And I must point out this was several months ago.

I hope this thread doesn't get locked :D

I think that the "locking" moderator has gone into self-imposed exile!

Deleting something (be it thread or photo) that isn't 'hot' at the moment (i.e. not containing a debate gone out of hand) is something only SIM can do, and he is catching up with his backlog at work; only when he returns can we expect such things to happen.

Moderators can lock and delete threats and photos but there will always be 'traces', i.e. you can see where a photo has been deleted for instance if you look at the respective gallery. Tarsius had all his nice Japanese photos deleted with the help of a moderator, no doubt for some eccentric reason. It bothers me because their 'ghost thumbnails' sometimes appear in the front site's 'Random Photos from the Gallery' but when you click on them, you get "Invalid thread specificed." But when I accidentally uploaded a duplicate once to the Aalborg Zoo gallery, I used the report function, and the photo was gone the next day, with no trace left behind (this is starting to sound like a crime novel :D) so I assume it was SIM who did it.
 
thank you Baldur for correcting my grammar but that is really not what I'm trying to find. Its been a couple months on both and one of them has been active since then. I have just contacted another one right now. Lets hope I can get it done.

I'm actually not the type who corrects grammar as I am (or at least was when I was your age) slightly annoyed by such nitpicking myself.

It's just that 'monitor' and 'moderator' are two different things; and being the sarcastic beast I am, I just couldn't control myself :) Sorry if you were offended by it.

The moderators are still helping out, l have recently [in the past few days received a response]
 
Also Mark will be gone for some months I expect, after all these dreadfull floods.

All members who've gone because of the floods in Queensland you've been missed.:(
