Midlands zoos

I realise I'm being extremely lazy here, but can anyone give me a bit of advice on midland zoos. We live by Birmingham Nature centre and visit Dudley and WMSP regularly. Also pass holders at the National Sea Life Centre.
We have time to visit one other close by, where should we go?

I would say Twycross Zoo because of a great diversity of animal species and it is probably the best zoo that I have visited in the Midlands.

Yup, Twycross would be the obvious one. Drayton Manor's also nearby, but is a smaller zoo and you may have to pay for the theme park as well.

If doncaster is near enough for you I would recommend the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

I would normally say Dudley for zoo and castle but in truth I would have to say Bristol because if you live near to Birmingham Nature Centre then this is closer and better then Twycross for diversity of species it's a straight run down the M5 and very well sign posted from the motorway as well

Or what about Cotswold??

Jerseygorilla sorry I didn't read the question right as if they are going to visit the Sea Life Centre and then another collection it can realistic be a choise of 2 Dudley or Twycross as Dudley is my local I zoo I should say Dudley but if Devi likes primates and monkeys then it has to be Twycross on the other hand if Devi likes old fashioned buildings then it has to be Dudley.

Thank you! We think the choice is between Bristol and Twycross now, Bristol seems to have the most animals that we haven't seen, but Twycross is closer and does have a few which I haven't seen.

Twycross is one of the easiest zoos in the country to access, being right out in the countryside.

Bristol is about 6 miles from the M5 motorway but is well signposted- you will hit some city traffic on the last few miles and in Clifton, though its not usually that bad.

You'll get a lot from visiting either of them if you haven't been before.

I've been to both, but not for over 5 years, probably more. My daughter is 9 now and I don't remember taking her. We usually visit places I've not been apart from very close ones, last year has been Whipsnade, London, Woburn, and a bunch of little collections.
Both seem to have changed significantly over the years so I think they're worth a visit. We're saving the big visit this year for Edinburgh and the pandas!
