My name is secret, but you may all know me as Nahara ;)

I am a 12 year old girl- and I simply love animals <3, Course, like almost every little girl, I dreamed of becoming a vet. When i got a bit older, I switched to wanting to own an equestrian center, after which I decided to train horses. Then I saw the show My Life Is a Zoo and immediately found every episode, After a few days of research, I decided I want to some day own a zoo... Now I only have to earn the money xD

Only a few million dollars to go...

Welcome to ZooChat from a fellow Missourian (well, former Missourian). You have a lucky spot by one of the best zoos in the country. I was just up there last week.

Agreed- the zoo here is amazing! But having visited too often, it's lost its spark  , I hope it'll seem awesome again by summer! (I visited a different zoo last year and it was terrible, I'm anxiously awaiting summer to go visit the SL zoo again!)

Thanks for welcoming me ^^

I go to Kansas City zoo weekly and it never loses its spark. I suppose thats just taste. Just out of curiosity, what zoo did you visit last year?

The one in Baltimore (I was visiting my sister in a town near there) and maybe it wasn't that bad- but we went at a bad time- a bunch of things were closed!

I havent been to that zoo yet (been to the aquarium), but I beleive it is rather small so cannot compare to a large zoo like Saint Louis. But closings can really dampen a zoo experiance.

Agreed, I hate it when i go to a zoo and somethings closed, especially if it's one of the big cats! (Those are my favs ^^)

Well, at least you didn't go to a zoo with great cat exhibits, like Minnesota or my own Kansas City. I do hope you saw the polar bears, as they have one of the best polar bear exhibits in the country.

The zoo in Baltimore only has 3 sections, only 2 if you skip the children's zoo. It can't compare to a large zoo. But not all small zoos are disappointing, or at least they shouldn't be.
