Hamilton Zoo Baby on the way for Hamilton Zoo's Chimpanzee

The Chimpanzee at Hamilton appear to be getting on well together. Both Mike and Fimi and Lucifer and Sanda seem to have formed close bonds. Lucy was asleep with Luka and Suzie close by and Sally was down by the window.

Sanda is now pregnant and should deliver a baby in the next three or four months. The baby is likely to have be either Lucifer's (her mate) or Luka's (the dominant male).

The baby will take the number of Chimpanzee to nine.
 
There have been no chimpanzee births at Hamilton as far as I am aware. I would appear this post was started on rumour not fact.

to be fair, as Axl he has improved markedly, even learning to put links to news items rather than just making things up or phrasing his personal wishes as fact. The multi-page tiger and giraffe threads are absolute drivel but on the whole he seems to be trying to be a useful member, certainly much much better than his first several accounts.
