I see that my 450 posts has significantly boosted the Canadian content!!
It's interesting to learn about all the different age ranges that are present here at ZooBeat. There are folks in their teens going to school, others in their twenties or thirties who are fairly settled in life, and then still many more in their forties or older who still love chatting about zoos and wildlife. It would be great if everyone listed their age, as it would present yet another fascinating statistic about this site.

I'm about to catch up ARA--I'll be 62 this summer. I've worked in a zoo for 22 years and volunteered before that. I enjoy this forum immensely and learn something new every day. It's especially interesting to hearthe different perspectives from all over the world.
Even after all these years I get pretty excited when I visit a new zoo. Showing up for work every morning in the snow and ice is, however, a bit of a different story
I get to work around 6:30 AM and maintenance hasn't usually gotten to this part of the zoo yet! However, going out to the kangaroo barn and getting a nuzzle or two from some of the mob makes it all worthwhile.
