Best butterfly collection in North West?

Thought Id ask who could suggest the best butterfly collection to visit in the North West? Im looking for places to visit this bank holiday

The honest answer is that now they've got labels up my favourite butterfly house in the UK is in the north-west - at Chester!

I'm actually struggling to think of any others in north-west England, but there are decent butterfly houses at Pili Palas on Anglesey and Tropical Butterfly House, North Anston, near Sheffield; both of these may be a bit too far to travel though.

If you do travel, I'd pair up Pili Palas with Anglesey Sea Zoo and North Anston with either Yorkshire WP or Wetlands WP, which would make the journey a bit more worthwhile.

I'm a bit tired with Chester as I go every week with my fiancé, I've looked at the other two that you suggested and may go to the Sheffield one I'm just looking for different places to visit as Bank Holidays are getting more and more difficult to plan after doing a lot in the area

I know the feeling!

North Anston's good - nice butterfly flight area and some other nice add-ons (watch out particularly for the rather out-of-place looking meerkat exhibit, which is in a completely different style to anything else there!).
