Zoo membership in the West Midlands

Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting membership with Twycross Zoo. On the website, it mentions partner zoos. Does anyone know the locations of these partner zoos?

Also, does anyone have any tips, with respect to membership? Does membership with one zoo, give me access to another nearby zoo? Would I need to get seperate membership for Twycross, Chester and Dudley for example?

Thanks a bunch!

You'd certainly have to get a seperate membership for Dudley (which by the way is fantastic value), dont know about the others.

Thanks for the info. I've had a look at the Dudley Zoo website, and I'm thinking now of getting dual membership with Dudley and Twycross. It mentions an annual car parking pass. Do you know how much it normally costs to park (without the pass)? Since I went (last in 2004), it seems that their collection of animals has increased in range (or more likely, my appreciation of animals wasn't as developed at that age).

I don't know all of the Zoo's which partners Twycross but you can visit the collections only once a year(I think!)and a couple of which I can remember are Chester, Paignton and Edinburgh.

Sorry, dont know about the parking charges, if I do drive there I tend to find somewhere free to park in Dudley and walk to the zoo.

To be honest, whilst I've heard this "rumour", I've never encountered any problems getting into Chester or Twycross multiple times with my Colchester card. No procedures seem to be in place to prevent multiple visits though it may be that any procedures are not strictly applied (or I'm just lucky).

If you are going to get the twycross card, I recommend that you enquire when their next offer will be. I got mine at easter - the offer was a years membership and it was less than £25 (normal price about £63). I've seen this offer twice this year on bank holiday weekends.
