Hey all...this is Debbie from Blackbrook Zoo....great news, we have had a great summer and our future is looking great!!:):):) I know some of you have been following the story, so thanks for all of the support!

Absolutely brilliant news! :)

Thanks Debs! Brilliant news. I + a certain other 2 ZC regulars passed by and probably in the numbers somewhere over late summer. Incidentally, as a bird afficionado ... I completely loved the place. Well done again!!!

This is very pleasing news.

I'm glad to hear you're not closing down, it would have been a shame, you have an excellent collection of aves.

Went in April, fascinating collection - different from anything I've seen elsewhere - and I hope it's onwards and upwards now. My first visit won't be my last :) .

Fully agree with all those overjoyed to see Blackbrook continue & thrive.
BUT....I can't help notice that we seem to have gone in a rather short time from "Disaster is imminent" to "The future looks great".
Can we now view Blackbrook's long-term future as secure? Or is this more of a reprieve?
And can somebody start taking the labelling of the exhibits seriously, please. Because it's an embarrassment when rare birds (some of them the only ones on view in the UK) aren't even labelled.

Nice one Debs & Blackbrook, I've only visited twice but loved it - great collection and a good place to visit - I'm really pleased you're financially secure and the park is safe. So what are the plans for the future? consolidation of position or potential expansion?

My thoughts exactly, especially re the labelling which really does need sorting out.

I was there last week and, labelling and a few niggles aside, as per ususal I greatly enjoyed it. Let's hope it's "onwards and upwards" now!

Reading the local paper I share MikeG's concerns. It doesn't appear to me that much has been achieved as of yet apart from plugging the immediate shortfall.

I love Blackbrook; very, very few other UK collections have impressed me so much on a first visit. I'm bound to add that very few have given such an overall air of commercial unworldliness.

I made my first visit today and absolutely loved it. I'm very pleased that this amazing collection is secure because I'll be back.

Better signs on the enclosures would have made life a lot easier and left me feeling more satisfied with the limited time I had; but it's still an outstanding place.
