Fossa at Newquay, and Marwell. I'm not sure but i dont think there are any of the others in the UK. have you tried Zootierliste?

I think Africa Alive hold fossa, I saw them there many years ago but not sure if they still have them?

The nearest Devils are in Copenhagen and Sea otter at Rotterdam, I think.
There are probably no Black footed ferrets outside the U.S.

i think i've seen those ferrets in pet shops? or am i getting confused? the closest devils are in copenhagen as recently stated, which were sent as gifts when the danish crown prince married a tazmanian girl, and as of present, are the only ones outside of australia. Speaking of which, what happened to london zoo's last devil?

Five sisters marbled polecats were split between Edinburgh and tropical wings this year! Follyfarm and Belfast also have fossa as far as I know!

According to Zootierliste, Chessington World of Adventures, Africa Alive, Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, Newquay Zoo, Marwell, Belfast Zoo and Folly Farm Zoo keep fossas.

Hopefully you are getting confused with the domestic Ferret, which can be a variety of colourations and markings. The Black Footed Ferret is one of North America's most endangered mammals. I'm not saying that you're wrong and didn't see these for sale in a pet shop because we all know how dodgy today's exotic pet trade can be, just hoping that you are.

I know there must be some examples in private collections in the UK, but who and where I dont know, but ABWAK run a husbandry article on them a few years ago.

Makes you wonder what other animals that aren't on display in any uk zoo are being kept in private collections.

and thanks everyone for your replies. Unfortunatly I can not use Zootierliste, I only have web access through my phone and it doesn't support the website.

Contrary to the Edinburgh Zoo website, which states they have 3 marbled polecats, as of 2 or 3 months ago they actually have 5. They're a lovely species to watch, when they are actually active.

^come to think of it, they were probably domestic ferrit, however, next time I am at the pet shop (which is located in a garden centre near me) I hope to think that the U.K pet industry is pretty secure at the moment, and you often hear of stories in which people who try and smuggle animals into the U.K are confiscated and sent too zoo's. Can anyone answer my question about the tasmanian devil?

Don't know *what* happened to the last Tazzie, but I think the last one in the UK was late 1980s or early 1990s. So not actually as long ago as one would think.... but considering the DFTD epidemic and the genetic bottlenecking of any healthy devils, there is little to no chance of any more

I think it is virtually impossible that there are any black footed ferrets outside of North America. It is also virtually impossible to see them here, as I have never seen one even having been to three zoos that had them on display (none of which do any longer I believe). Phoenix Zoo has a large breeding facility, but it is completely closed to the public, even to its own members like myself. I think the public exhibits were taken away because they are strictly nocturnal and no visitors ever saw them during open hours.

how about a Liger, as useless as they are to conservation I'd still like to actually see one.
