Now I understand the name, what's lost is the educational goals and vision that the SDZS was founded on.

No it sounds like theyll be in the golden-bellied mangabey exhibit.

@OtterLord the geographic ship sailed long ago on this exhibit. That's why they named the whole area "Lost Forest" so they could put anything anywhere.

Yes, they will be in the golden-bellied mangabey exhibit. Sorry my post was confusing. There are 3 wolf's guenon with the pigmy hippos and 2 wolf's guenon with the mandrills. All of those exhibits are along monkey trail.
Also on "monkey" trail are 2 red-cheeked gibbons! Are we all thoroughly confused now?

Actually with the addition of the capuchins to the Monkey Trails exhibit, the zoo is actually returning to its roots when the zoo was arranged taxonomically. The use of zoogeography at the San Diego Zoo started in the 1980s.

I doubt they are doing so which such an intention. Having an exhibit built with the intention of it being an African and Asian rainforest with consistent graphics and animals then going against it by putting capuchins in does not maintain a good educational image. Like why should I take the Zoo seriously as a scientific institution if it doesn't meet the standards that pledges to? I am glad they are exhibiting capuchins, but why?

Yes, but it's only an African and Asian rainforest because you know it was such at one point. Why can't it be an African, Asian, and South American rainforest. They are not telling people that this is anything other than "Monkey Trail" within the "Lost Forest".

True. Its merely a deviation from their badly shakky design concept that was poorly demonstrated. It can still work within the scheme of things, although it is upsetting to see animals from that area disappear, such as the Lhoest guenons, Francois langurs, clouded leopards, and Bornean bearded pigs. The Lost Forest name is more embarassing because it is devoid of any meaning, and clumps most of the SDZ's best exhibits under one name.

The zoo will be getting three young amur leopards (just under a year old I would guess by looking at the video). This is stated in the comment under the video, filmed at the Exotic Feline Breeding Compound. The EFBC is temporarily holding the cubs before they are transferred to San Diego Zoo. Anyone down there in SD know where they will put them?
