Hawaiian monk seals are being killed by someone

At least awareness is being raised and something significant is being done about it. Apparently at least 6 Mediterranean monk seals were deliberately killed in 2011 in Greece alone!

I'm afraid, the same with meat eating people. How many animals from horrible living conditions have to suffer and at least to die for that.

I really don't think it's fair to belittle this news by pretending that it's the same thing as farming animals for food. This thread concerns the sadistic and unjustifiable killing of valuable members of a critically endangered species. I also don't think this is the place to liken meat-eating people to these criminals. Whether people consider the slaughter of animals bred for their meat justifiable is a different matter, but they are farmed specifically to feed people. This is totally different.
