I have a special interest in the King cheetah, trying to make a study and write a book Do you know where the King Cheetahs are - we are planning a breeding programme if all goes the correctway and I can get all the info to get the ball rolling

King cheetahs are my favorite animal.

If you are in South Africa then you probably know they basically all come from DeWildt Cheetah Centre (Pretoria, South Africa). Hoedspruit (also in South Africa) had them a while back but I think now they are only breeding regular cheetahs. There was one recently born in Japan (Tama Zoo maybe?) and there is a zoo in Australia that produced some a few years ago. There are only two king cheetahs in the United States, both quite old and neither one in a breeding program. I am fairly certain these are the only two in the entire western hemisphere.

So no one outside of South Africa has enough to be a supplier. I think DeWildt is your only source if you are looking to acquire some.
