OBE for Will Travers

I just saw that our friend Will Travers [of the Born Free Foundation] has been given an OBE[and that isnt the Order of the Big Expenses].The question is... seeing that the Queen is a Royal Patron of the ZSL then surely Mr Travers should refuse it?
 
What does that really say about certain people getting OBE's I ask you? ;)
(someone had a bad hand at selection or what ..)

Will Travers coughs and just before he is about to speak his mummy appears and gives the Queen a wave!
 
Not to stir a pot unnecessarily, but what is the Born Free Foundation and their relationship to zoos? Do they want to see all zoos closed? They haven't made any headway in the U.S. as far as I can tell and remain an unknown quantity.

Yes they do. I don't think they have made very much headway in the UK or Europe either, but have been more active in other areas e.g. third world countries, where Zoos are generally of much lower standards.
