The same company which run the falconry shows at Warwick Castle (Hawk Experience) came down to Weymouth to run some shows over half term. Among the birds they brought down was a 40-day-old crowned eagle chick which was born in their centre in Yorkshire.

Photos available on Weymouth Sea Life Centre's facebook page.

Thanks for confirming that (and for posting the link). I was in a bit of a rush earlier - couldn't find the first breeding register online and couldn't find the source where I thought I'd read that it was a first for the UK. Glad it's been confirmed though.

On a further unrelated note, Warwick castle have had lammergeier listed in their collection on zootiereliste

Just looking briefly on google, I found this photo of what looks like a young lammergeier at Warwick.

Where is this centre? Does anyone know if it is open to the public?

I don't believe it is open to the public,as far as I know its just used for breeding and holding any birds that are not been, used at any of the places they provide the Falconry demostrations for.
