happy birthday to zooboy28 who is not 28 at all, but rather 24.

Normally when I do birthday threads they are a day early from the point of view of the birthday person due to my very special position at the front of the world, living in the future, etc. But this time the birthdee (I think that's the correct term for a birthday celebrator which I just made up) is in exactly the same time zone as myself. So well done to him for that as well.

I suspect it is raining where he is today though.

Love it! When in doubt, make a word up to fill the niche! :D

New Zealand may be the other side of the world but at least you share the British weather... :)

And after all that, happy birthday zooboy28! :)

Thanks Chlidonias, and it is my pleasure to share a time zone with you :D, and thanks Brum.

Almost unbelievably, it is not actually raining today, although the sky has looked very threatening all day.

Happy Birthday. Are you going to the zoo for your birthday party?

Thanks. No, I won't be visiting any zoos for my Birthday, although I may pop into the local free zoo this weekend, if its not too wet. My 'birthday party' was just a dinner at the local, but I couldn't even get OTP because it was with the in-laws.

Happy birthday zooboy28, surely the presence of the in-laws is more reason to go OTP?

Happy birthday! Enjoy it!

What does OTP mean?

Possibly a more appropriate term for ZooChat would be to get 'maggoted', but getting OTP doesn't necessarily imply going all the way to maggoted, especially when one has work the next morning.

OTP - What does OTP stand for? Acronyms and abbreviations by the Free Online Dictionary.
go down the list till you find one about excessive alcohol consumption. It may be more of a NZ expression. Apparently some foreigners do have some confusion over the P word and what it's supposed to mean.

People who don't understand the p word in this context won't necessarily know when they've come to the right one, they might think it is some kind of medical complaint. :)

Interesting. Well, with so many alternative meanings for OTP, I had to ask.

So, how was the dinner in the end? Are you both 24-years old (as Chlidonias suggests) and married (re: in-laws)?

The dinner was quite good, its a nice place that does pretty good food.
Yea, we are both 24, and engaged, and living with the in-laws-to-be.

Awesome! :D

I have an uncle who worked at a methanol plant (?) in New Plymouth (?) near you and for a few months, I kept asking if he visited Mt Teriyaki yet. :D I recall him saying something about 'The Last Samurai' being filmed in your region.

Yea, a methanol plant sounds about right, its all natural gas down here - either underground or on dairy farms...

The Last Samurai was filmed here, with Mt Taranaki standing in for Mt Fuji. It is a very beautiful region, bit its not really 'mine', I'm only here because of my partner. I'm from an even nicer region north of Auckland. Where it doesn't rain two days out of three :D

Happy Birthday!

You should come to Singapore on your next birthday - Free entry to ALL WRS parks on your birthday, and free ice cream. ;)

Thanks Zooish :D

I sincerely hope to visit before my next Birthday, and I do not mind paying the entry for the amazing WRS parks, they are worth every cent!

The free ice cream is tempting though, I was on such a strict budget on my last visit that I had to resist the Ben & Jerrys, which I have yet to try anywhere.

Methanol Plants, 24 and engaged, OTP, living with the in-laws.....

Happy Birthday anyhow :D

Seriously?! Maybe I should wait till August then, and try and break some record for the most number of zoos seen in one day! I will be a Zoochat legend!!
