Oleson Park Zoo (Closed) Do you think this is what zoos should do in the future

Since zoos are a reality that will never go away, yes, this is what zoos should plan for.

I have mixed feelings on that. I like to see a variety of wildlife in a zoo, but I also hate to see animals crammed into small enclosures just for the sake of having a bigger collection.

I would rather see fewer animals in larger, natural exhibits than a TON of animals in tiny cages close together.
Hopefully this won't mean that zoos become homogenized in what they keep in their collections.

I agree, I would hate to see zoos homogenized.

Lots of cheap land in rural America. I would like to see more facilities like the Wilds, the National Elephant Center, etc that are ran by zoos and open tp the public.

basically minature versions of the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Hoofstock need space.

Ideally like the Elephant center you would see 3/4/5 zoos pool their resources to build them.

I agree, we need more facilities like this. More drive-through parks would be nice as well. Another nice thing about other zoos building things like this could be a place for "surplus" animals to go. Much better than a canned hunting preserve.
