Beaver kills a guy in Belarus

I've never heard of a fatal beaver attack - until now. A beaver bit a guy and severed an artery, causing death. I always thought of beavers as being rather easy-going, but they are not to be messed with.

The story includes a video of a beaver attacking a cameraman in Russia.

Every once in a while I'll see wild American Beavers swimming near us in the lake (actually just a river made larger by a dam) by my house but they've never harmed anyone as far as I know of.

I didn't say they didn't attack people, I was just say that, thankfully, the ones by me house have yet to attack someone.

If you leave them alone they will leave you alone. I think an attack on a human is likely a rare thing. The American incident involved a rabid beaver. The Belarus incident involved the guy harassing the animal.
