The Negev Lappet-faced vulture must be one of the worlds most endangered bird-of-prey subspecies ! Axelkant placed some pictures of 2 birds kept at the Meir Segals Garden University Zoo and mentioned that a further 6 birds are kept at Tel Aviv.
I know Tel Aviv has bred them succesfully in the 1980-ties ( article in the International Zooyear Book ) but I'm curious to know the present sithuation.
Howmany ( if any ) are left in the wild and howmany are kept in captivity and are there any recent breeding-results.
Hope some-one can provide more information about this.
