Kumbuka

I've just been watching this weeks episode of the Zoo, which showed Kumbuka's arrival at London. Does anyone know how he's getting on now he's been there a few months?

Towards the end of my visit at the start of the month, the doors were left open for him to socialise with the girls outside. (I think he had had Effie in with him at the time). Things seemed to be going well, so I presume/hope more recent news is very positive.

The T.V. programme showed him at the end mating (or at least going through the motions) with 'Mjuku'. I'm now wondering if when that was filmed, which would have been a few weeks ago presumably, if he was still being given access to only one female at a time possibly? The shots of them inside were cut like they were all with him though (they even used a different shot of Mjuku to denote 'another' female.. ).

He was out with all of the females when we visited.

Two of them were relatively close by, but one kept her distance and only came over when the indoor area opened after a keeper had put some browse in there.

That was probably 'Zaire' who is actually his grandmother, and usually the slowest to adapt to the various changes they have had.
